Job Summary
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable functions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining positive relationships with clients. Ideally, applicant has previous work experience in fashion wholesale industry.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables' data
- Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Conduct account analysis and account reconciliations
- Handle customer inquiries regarding billing issues and payment discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable activity
- Obtain all pertinent info from new customers - and set up profile in our ERP system
- Perform credit checks on customers through credit insurance
- Remitting claims for delinquent accounts to collections when necessary
- Month end closing
- Collection calls and reconcile customers accounts
- Receive and approve all orders for credit
- review and Adjust commissions for sales reps.
- E-mail proforma invoices to credit card customers at shipping time for cc payment approvals
Skills
- Strong customer service skills to interact with clients regarding billing inquiries
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Momentis ERP.
- Experience in account analysis and reconciliation
- Ability to analyze financial data and perform data entry accurately
- Prior experience as an accounts receivable clerk or in a similar role is a plus
