Summary
The Accounts Payable Supervisor supports and leads the AP team, working with the Controller to provide direction, support, coaching, and motivation to promote a culture reflective of Slegg’s core values and vision. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $75,000 annually.

The Responsibilities
- Act as an ambassador of the company with all employees and customers.
- Maintain an emphasis on a safety culture, customer service, and efficiency as top priorities.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of a high volume of accounts payable transactions.
- Oversee and apply vendor credits and rebates correctly.
- Maintain up-to-date vendor accounts and address any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with the Controller to review and resolve outstanding items, credits, overpayments, and open credits for monthly reconciliation.
- Examine payment journals and vendor statements to ensure proper reconciliation.
- Track the AP team’s productivity against established KPIs.
- Support and lead the AP team, working with the Controller to improve processes and address team needs.
- Oversee payment schedules, take advantage of discount opportunities, and resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
- Conduct month-end procedures, including accruals and reconciliations, and ensure adherence to sales tax regulations.
The Requirements
- Solution oriented, able to identify and resolve issues, including reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and basic accounting practices.
- Proficient in Excel, ability to utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- 3-5 years of experience in high-volume accounts payable, plus experience managing a team.
- Strong analytical skills, time management, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Familiarity with NAV, Business Central, or similar accounting software is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma or certification in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Physical requirements include:
- o Sitting for long periods of time

The Location - Sidney, 2030 Malaview Ave.
