About the role
Salary banding - $95-$115,000 + Bonus
Due to continued growth and development of the North American Zetron business, we are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Accounting Manager to join our growing and talented Finance team based in Victoria - BC. This position will report to the Senior Finance Director and will be responsible for participating in all aspects of leading and managing the Redmond, Knoxville and Victoria-BC operational finance function, ensuring the timely delivery of all aligned activities of the local team and supporting the wider North American and global organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Overall management of accounts receivable, accounts payable, contract orders, product order entry, and sales and use tax.
- Responsible for departmental staffing and prioritizing of assignments.
- Select and develop employees and manage performance to ensure efficient operation of the function.
- Respond appropriately to internal and external customer needs by promptly responding to their inquiries and quickly resolving issues.
- Ownership of all areas of the business systems related to areas of responsibility, both internal and external.
About You
To be successful in your application for this newly created position, you will have demonstrated experience in leading and developing a team of accounting professionals and possess high level organisational, communication and interpersonal skills that will facilitate positive business outcomes for all internal and external stakeholders. This high-level experience will be supported by a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or another related field, and CPA certification.
Additionally, you will have a good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in MS Excel, experience with SAP or other aligned ERP systems, and an understanding of business taxation rules in the US & Canada.
Although not considered essential, experience within a manufacturing, communications or technical engineering environment would be highly regarded.
