The Position
The Accounts Payable position is a highly varied role involving many aspects of the company’s operations. The anticipated primary functions of the Accounts Payable role include:
· Coding and posting of accounts payable using our paperless workflow software
· Processing payments in a timely manner
· Preparing monthly cheque runs
· Communicating with vendors to resolve discrepancies
· Preparing and updating support schedules in Excel
· Posting journal entries to general ledger
· Reconciling of accounts
· Supporting reception and general admin tasks
This position is full-time in our downtown office Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Skills & Experience
· Post-secondary degree with priority given to accounting
· Experience with accounts payable and account reconciliations
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, macros, and conditional formatting
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Competent using Microsoft Outlook and Word
· Experience using accounting software
· Demonstrated ability to work positively in a team environment and independently
· Sound judgement and decision-making skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks with minimal guidance
· Ability to thrive and excel in a fast paced, dynamic organization
