The Opportunity
Our Finance team is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and supporting various financial projects.
As the successful candidate, you have a proven track record for driving continuous improvement in a strong internal control environment. You have excellent communication and analytical abilities, as well as having demonstrated an extremely high level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail.

Ways You Can Contribute
- Process invoices, verify expenses, and manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Recording and processing payment for AP invoices and employees’ expenses.
- Assist in tax filings, including HST/GST returns, payroll taxes, and other regulatory requirements.
- Creating and sending monthly invoices and statements to clients.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Recording of payment received including fund transfers through EFT & depositing cheques.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare draft billing information for internal account leads.
- Track accounts receivable and follow-up with clients for outstanding invoices and accounts receivable.
- Escalating issues or irregularities to Director.
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes and audit requirements.
- Any other tasks or initiatives as assigned by Director.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience as an Accountant in a mid-sized professional services firm.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA designation or in progress is preferred.
- Solid business acumen and understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop.
- Proficiency in PSA, Harvest, and QuickBooks is considered an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to consistently meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
- Extremely high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- The ability to handle external customer queries professionally and calmy.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal communication skills.

Pay Range: $80,000 - $95,000
