The Role: Accountant/Bookkeeper
We are looking for an Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This is a full-time position, working at our offices, at a starting rate of $22/hour. Our Company has a casual but professional work environment with little to no staff turnover. In addition to the critical attributes listed below, the successful candidate must be a good fit within our team.
Critical Attributes:
· A team player with leadership abilities - Professional, positive, respectful, and honest
· Must be able to do full-cycle accounting - from posting payables to producing financial statements
· Proficient in using accounting software (Quickbooks Online preferred), and Excel
· Intermediate knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and best practices for small to medium-size businesses
· Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Position Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
· Accounts receivable
· Accounts payable
· Payroll
· CRA Remittances
· Journal entries
· Month/year-end
· Maintain filing system
· Undergrad or Diploma in Accounting
· 2-5 years of experience working as an accountant/bookkeeper
