Horizon Court Properties is currently seeking an Accounting Technician.

Accountable to the Property Manager, the Accounting Technician requires strong accounting and financial knowledge to ensure effective financial administration and bookkeeping practices. The Accounting Technician will work with the administrative team to maintain financial records and an accurate filing system, prepare reports and process business transactions. Responsible for accounts payable and receivables and general bookkeeping, this position is responsible for month end procedures and handling all monies related to payments. This position will also provide payroll services for the business and work directly with employees. The Accounting Technician will liaise with tenants and suppliers regarding payments on a regular basis and ensure effective communication and correspondence practices within the administrative team.

As an ideal candidate, you will have proven experience in accounting and bookkeeping. You will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as a high level of professionalism. You will bring good analytical and critical systems thinking skills as well as a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to the role. You will have knowledge of the full accounting cycle and payroll practices and possess strong computer skills.

You will have strong time management skills to plan and organize the accounting workflow and SOP.

The successful applicant must be capable of performing a wide variety of tasks with minimal supervision and will possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
