Construction Administration / Assistant Property Manager
Fitz Construction Ltd. is an established General Contractor / Commercial Property Management firm for over forty (40) years. We are seeking an ambitious and professional individual looking to join our team. Hours would be 8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
Roles
· Provide administrative support to the construction and property management team.
· Act as a point of contact for vendors, subcontractors, and various construction services vendors.
· Prepare forms such as change orders, purchase orders, service agreements, and subcontracts.
· Execute clerical and general office duties such as setting up filing systems, data entry, typing, copying, ordering office supplies, and other administrative tasks for special projects.
· Coordinate property management maintenance schedules.
· Assist with administrative support to general manager, property managers and building operations staff including but not limited to preparation and monitoring of POs, liaison with vendors and service providers, and accounts receivable support.
· Liaise with tenants on operational matters related to their tenancy and maintain excellent customer relations with them
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma - additional college such as an associate degree or bachelor’s degree is valuable
- 3 years of experience of administrative experience is required.
- Knowledge of the construction / property management industry will be considered an asset.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and accounting software.
· Able to multitask and manage time effectively.
· Basic Bookkeeping skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
· Strong interpersonal communication skills and being able to interact in a professional manner
· Ability to assess a situation and resolve problems using facts, strategic problem solving and analytical skills.
· Valid drivers license. Some site visits may be necessary
