Phoenix Restorations is currently hiring an experienced Accounts Payable with a proven history in AP. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail and thorough understanding of accounting procedures. They also need to display a positive attitude and be wiling to take on new challenges. Reporting to the Controller, this position will primarily be responsible for full cycle accounts payable and provide assistance to our Finance Department in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Matching purchase orders to invoices and following up on discrepancies.
· Scanning AP invoices and uploading them into job costing software.
· Entering the invoices into job costing and accounting software.
· Process employee timecards and job-related supply sheets.
· Process employee expense reports and manage petty cash.
· Strengthen and grow relationships with suppliers and trades by maintaining communication and by issuing payments as per company agreed payment terms.
· Credit card account reconciliation.
· Reconciling vendor statements.
· Filing of all AP files at year end and opening files for the next fiscal year.
· Ad hoc duties as assigned by other Finance Team members.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Minimum 3 years of experience in AP is required.
· Strong accuracy, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills required.
· Consistently maintain integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting.
· Ability to change priorities according to operational needs.
· Must be able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
· Ability to work with a diverse range of individuals.
· Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude.
· Basic knowledge of Accounting Principles.
· Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
· Experience with Sage 50 is considered an asset.
· Construction industry experience beneficial.
