Position Summary

We are seeking a detailed oriented, self-motivated senior accountant who will use their financial and accounting background to support our clients. The role requires to be willing to dive deep into the details while keeping an eye on the bigger picture.

This position will be a rewarding opportunity for those who enjoy taking responsibility for the entire process start to finish, as the role involves completing all accounting activities, financial reporting, and the support of other family office tasks.

This position is a full-time remote position

Your role will include, but is not limited to:

Full responsibility for maintaining the accounting records, including recording all bookkeeping
Recording and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
Prepare quarterly financial statements
Oversee cash management, including preparing wire transfers and coordinating funds movement with financial institutions
Prepare adhoc financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Cash-flow forecasting and related reporting
Maintain investment reporting for marketable securities and private equity investments
Stakeholder management and relationship building, including coordinating with other service providers
Prepare various tax and regulatory returns (T4’s, GST, WCB and Corporate tax filings)
Maintains confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
Other duties as assigned

Required Skills or Experience

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance or related field required
4+ years’ work experience in full-cycle accounting experience
Proficient in CaseWare and TaxPrep
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent relationship management skills
Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines
Accounting designation is a plus
