About the opportunity:
We are looking for a full-time Office Administrator and Bookkeeper who will be based in our beautiful new Westshore office. The ideal candidate has experience in client services, back-office administrative duties, bookkeeping, and the skills and maturity to work independently in a high functioning professional office environment.
Education, Training and Experience
A level of education, training and experience equivalent to high school graduation plus additional related course work in office or business administration. Proven ability to work with a variety of clients and teams to maintain and foster good working relationships. Bookkeeping experience or exposure to Quickbooks Online is an asset but not required.
Skills and Abilities
- Discretion and excellent judgement in handling confidential material
- Strong computer skills and extensive knowledge of applications such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Highly organized and keen attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy, in dealing with a variety of work situations and the general public.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong sense of teamwork.
- Aptitude to be proactive requiring minimum direction.
- Organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Work under pressure with short turnaround times; flexibility to ensure deadlines are accommodated.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
- Editing and printing correspondence
- Updating client contact information in our database
- Client bookkeeping on a monthly and/or quarterly basis
- Monthly reconciliations and month end reporting
- Letter writing and proofing
- Various other administrative duties as required

We are looking for a candidate who is willing to familiarize themselves will all areas of our admin processes to be able to assist in all areas as needed.
