About this opportunity
As a Payroll Clerk you will be responsible for all aspects of bi-weekly payroll processing and submission for employees and accounts receivables for assigned clinics.

- Develop and communicate processes and workflow with clinics to assist with efficient and accurate payroll calculations and submission;
- Process payroll accurately within tight timelines for Employees;
- Ensure that supporting documentation is provided to staff and Clinic Administrators as required;
- Respond to staff of designated clinics regarding questions on payroll calculations;
- Ensure that all change of status is recorded accurately on payroll calculation spreadsheets;
- Confirm overtime submissions and obtain email approvals;
- Liaison with corporate payroll regarding records of employment;
- Complete payroll audits in designated clinics and other clinics as assigned;
- Provide reports/compensation information to Managers/Directors upon request;
- Other reporting as assigned each payroll period
- Ensure all practices are conducted with integrity and in alignment to Best Practice and CBI policies, including Privacy policies
- Identify, investigate, correct, and document potential payroll and staffing issues. Communicate issues, problems, or information to Payroll Manager, HR Director and other stakeholders as needed.
- Ensure journal entries, payroll planning and compliance reporting deadlines are met, including supplemental and year end processing and third-party processing, and
- Investigate and resolve Intercompany wage recovery
- Liaise with the Finance team to process IC billing, intercompany billing and accounts receivable for assigned clinics as required.
Here’s what you’ll need to be successful:
- Post-Secondary education in Payroll, Human Resources, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of payroll experience for a large organization (preferably with multi-site locations)
- Knowledge of legal and/or payroll/taxation guidelines related to payroll
- Knowledge of governing acts and regulations pertaining to payroll and time administration
- Advanced proficiency with HCM systems and applications and working knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
