Robert Half is excited to be working on behalf of our esteemed client, who is actively seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their thriving finance team.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full cycle of accounts payable responsibilities, including invoice processing, payment processing, and record keeping
- Perform monthly reconciliations of all payable accounts
- Maintain precise records of all vendor transactions
- Process EFT payments and cheque runs
- Review all invoices for proper documentation prior to payment
- Journal entries and reconciliation
- Collaborate with other teams to reduce discrepancies and enhance the efficiency of accounting procedures
- Stay in compliance with the company's financial policies and procedures, and maintain confidentiality of company’s financial data
Requirements
- 2+ years of proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach to handle complex accounting data
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as a team player
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage tight deadlines
