As an Accounts Payable Clerk at Shane Homes you are a motivated, self-starter, with an enthusiastic and positive attitude. You possess excellent organizational skills and you're able to manage multiple tasks while meeting hard deadlines. Your ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders is exceptional, and you are always striving to put your best foot forward.
We would love it if you had these too:
- 5+ Years proven Accounts Payable experience
- Previous experience with a home builder and/or knowledge of Timberline/Sage 300 is an asset
- The ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues related to AP
- Proven track record of maintaining accuracy and a high attention to detail
Here's What Your Day-to-Day Could Look Like:
- Obtain approvals, coding, entering and posting invoices in the Accounts Payable system for multiple companies
- Research and resolve accounts payable issues with estimators and/or vendors
- Participate in mid-month and month-end cheque runs as well as weekly framer cheque run
- General filing of posted/paid invoices
- Coordinate utilities disconnections for sold homes
- Process daily cash deposits
- Set up new vendors in system
- Process and pay all property taxes
- Process and pay customer referrals and realtor payments
- Preparation of closing packages for home buyers
- Complete various account reconciliations as assigned by Management to assist in the preparation of Company financial statements
- Participate in cross-training where required and share in the completion of duties of other accountants in their absence where required
