Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a foundational understanding of accounting principles. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform double entry bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support the financial auditing process by preparing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Contribute to tax preparation and regulatory reporting activities, ensuring timely submissions.
- Collaborate with senior accountants on accrual accounting tasks and other financial projects.
- Help maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
- Participate in public accounting engagements as required, providing support to senior staff.
Skills
- Processing of Accounts payable Invoices, EFT payments, vendor maintenance and handling payment related inquiries.
- Processing of client billings.
- Knowledge of GST/HST preparation.
- Preparation of accounting journal entries and posting.
- Bank reconciliation and vendor accounts reconciliations.
- Experience working with Microsoft ERP systems, D365 preferable.
- Various general ledger accounts and subledger reconciliations
- Knowledge of processing employee expense reports and credit card reconciliations
- Assisting the finance team with month end and year end closing.
- Knowledge of Payroll related reconciliations is a plus
- Qualification : BSc/Ba in accounting, finance or relevant field
- Proven experience as a junior accountant
- Working with excel spreadsheets a must.

Pay: $55,461.00-$70,000.00 per year
