BioScript Solutions is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team and focus on supporting the financial reporting needs of our organization. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for billing our clients and assisting in the management of accounts payable. This full-time, permanent opportunity will require the successful candidate to function independently, have ownership over their work and take initiative.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Monthly billing of services as per master service agreements;
- Processing of AP invoices and expenses
- Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and legal regulations;
- Posting journal entries, intercompany transactions and accounting adjustments;
- Completing monthly reconciliations of related GL accounts;
- Compiling financial information for ad hoc management reporting;
- Responsible to report any patient safety information as per adverse event reporting requirements; and
- Other duties as required.
What You’ll Bring To Our Team
- Successful completion of post-secondary education in accounting;
- Bilingualism considered an asset;
- Accurate data entry skills complimented by high attention to detail;
- Demonstrated prioritization skills and ability to multi-task to meet tight deadlines;
- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and comfortable working with autonomy;
- Effective interpersonal skills with a positive demeanor under varying stress levels;
- Previous experience with Sage 300 considered an asset;
- Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry an asset;
- Comfortable working with computers and technology, specifically the Microsoft Office suite of products.
