Job Summary:
As the Senior SaaS Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the financial performance of our SaaS operations. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy, ensuring financial sustainability, and driving profitability. This role requires a deep understanding of SaaS financial metrics, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to provide strategic insights that will guide key business decisions.
This role will report directly to the CEO and will be working closely with an executive and development team in the UK, US and Canada. With great investors and an experienced leadership team, this is a great opportunity for individuals that thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute financial strategies that support the growth and profitability of our SaaS offerings. Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Performance Metrics: Monitor and analyze key SaaS financial metrics (e.g., ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV) to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Provide actionable insights to senior management.
Financial Modeling: Create and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making, including scenario analysis and valuation of new initiatives.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to align financial strategies with business objectives. Provide financial guidance and support for new product launches and market expansions.
Investor Relations: Prepare and present financial reports and projections to investors, board members, and other stakeholders. Ensure clear and transparent communication of financial performance and strategy.
Team Leadership: Assist in building a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Provide guidance and support in financial analysis and reporting.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management and proven track record of managing SaaS financial operations and driving financial performance.
Skills: Strong understanding of SaaS financial metrics, revenue recognition, and financial modeling. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail. Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performing teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and translate financial data into actionable business insights. Strong business acumen with a focus on driving growth and profitability.
