The Position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Financial Accountant to support our growing finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to various accounting functions while developing their skills in a collaborative and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly financial reports to provide actionable insights for the business
- Assist in managing accounts receivable, including timely invoicing and collections
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Assisting the finance team with in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards
- Collaborate on special projects and provide financial data to support key initiatives
- Preparing reconciliations of GL accounts and subledgers
- Assisting the finance team in the year-end audit process, including working with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial statements
- Perform other related tasks as required to support the finance department's operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in finance, accounting, or a related field
- CPA designation/working towards a CPA or combination of education and experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in an accounting or finance-related role
- Understanding of ASPE (Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises)
- Proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, PivotTables) and strong analytical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
