As we continue to grow and expand we are looking for a Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our team to help manage both our financial and administrative operations.
Job Description :
We are seeking a detailed-oriented Bookkeeper/Administrator to manager our day-to-day financial and administrative tasks, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and smooth operations. This role is essential in supporting the financial health of the brewery by maintaining accurate financial data, processing transactions, and assisting with financial reporting, while also supporting day-to-day administrative needs. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in bookkeeping and excellent organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals and bank reconciliations
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions promptly and accurately
- Manage payment of bills and follow-up on receivables
- Manage payroll processing
- Prepare and submit tax filings for GST/HST on a monthly basis
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports
- Monitor cash flows and manage day-to-day banking needs
- Attend inventory counts and ensure inventory and cost of sales records are up to date
- Support annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Handle general administrative tasks, including managing office supplies, scheduling meetings, maintaining records
- Assisting with HR related duties, such as onboarding new employees and maintaining personnel files
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and other external partners to ensure smooth operations
- Provide administrative support to the management team and assist with other tasks as needed
- Maintain occupational health and safety policies coordinate with teams to ensure training is up to date
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, finance or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with strong relevant experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping and administrative roles
- Proficiency with accounting software (such as QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive attitude and an ability to work effectively independently
- Comfort working in a dynamic and evolving environment
- Experience in the food and beverage industry would be an asset
