SUMMARY
The senior accountant provides comprehensive administrative and operational support in the areas of payroll processing and contract management. This role collaborates closely with the Payroll and Benefits Administrator, as well as the finance and operations teams, to ensure the accuracy and compliance of payroll procedures and contractual obligations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to meet business needs.
Payroll Processing:
· Assist in the accurate preparation and processing of employee payroll.
· Verify the accuracy of employee timesheets.
· Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.
· Maintain up-to-date employee payroll records, ensuring the accuracy of all information.
· Support payroll reporting as required.
Contract Management:
· Monitor and track contract renewals, terminations, and amendments, ensuring timely communication with relevant teams.
· Provide support in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing new contracts.
· Assist in managing Consumer Price Index (CPI) and annual rate increases, as applicable.
Administrative Support:
· Maintain and organize payroll and contract files, both electronic and physical.
· Provide general administrative support, including responding to queries related to payroll and contract management.
· Assist with employee onboarding, ensuring that all payroll and contract documentation is properly completed.
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
· A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is required, professional accounting designation is preferred.
· Previous experience in payroll, contract management, and administrative support.
· Familiarity with Sage 300 software is advantageous.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
