Jonkman Equipment is an agricultural equipment distributor that has been operating for 32 years. We currently are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Manager.
Reporting to and working closely with the Owner, the Accounting Manager:
- Oversees the accounting team and ensures all accounting policies and procedures are followed and adjusted to the needs of the company as required.
- Manages HR. This includes onboarding of new staff, terminations, ROE’s, and processes all aspects of payroll using ADP, and ensures year end documents are prepared correctly.
- Administrates the company benefit plans and assists employees with accessing their benefits.
- Ensures all government remittances e.g., GST, PST, Work safe, etc, are prepared every month or as required
- Oversees the payables and receivables functions, and ensures all vendors are paid on time as per company policy
- Establishes customer credit policies and individual customer credit
- Ensures receipt of goods flows seamlessly with the AP processing and any errors are promptly corrected.
- Manages cash flow for the company bank accounts.
- Completes all month end procedures and reconciliations and prepares financial reports as specified by the Owner.
- Completes all year end reconciliations and adjustments and submits all required backup and files to the corporate accounting firm.
- Oversees the ERP software system and contacts our external IT resources for assistance as needed. Assists staff with the computer system as needed.
- Oversees the computer network and telephone system and ensures that all hardware is maintained and replaced as necessary. Works with our external IT team and telephone techs to solve any functionality issues.
- Prepares bookkeeping and year end work for 7 related companies with accuracy.
- Oversee the Fortis Rebate program
Competencies
- Proficient with MS office and Accounting Software
- Ability to meet deadline and work under pressure.
- High degree of accuracy with a keen eye for details.
- Demonstrates excellent critical thinking, analytical and evaluation skills.
- CPA certification is a plus but not a requirement.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and consultative approach
- Ethical, transparent, and trustworthy
- Experience working with Sage50 would be considered an asset.
Expected start date : As soon as possible.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $75,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
