Role Summary
We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Associate to join our growing team! In this dynamic and multifaceted role, you will report directly to the Controller, managing accounts receivable for Carlberg Canada. You will collaborate closely with the accounting team and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Accountabilities:
- Timely processing of accounts receivable transactions in the Company’s ERP system.
- Liaising with key internal stakeholders for timelines, approvals, implementing new processes/requirements, and other topics as they arise.
- Processing liquor board transactions, remittances and credits.
- Weekly invoicing & sending statement of accounts to customers.
- Manage the collection process, including following up on past due accounts and payment discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Review the accounts receivable sub ledger on a frequent basis and address outstanding issues in a timely fashion.
- Month end transactions, reconciliations and reports for accounts receivable completed within a tight time frame.
- Completion of various reporting, schedules, and calculations by the required due dates
- The Beer Store (“TBS”) settlement and payment application including populating an excel spreadsheet to allocate amounts to the proper GL codes by reviewing The Beer Store package, processing credit memos to process fees deducted from payment.
- Prepare monthly TBS Keg Reporting.
- Complete monthly LCBO Winery reporting (Triani)
- Prepare Customs paperwork for US shipments, as required.
- Process daily sales transactions processed through the Company’s retail store, and taphouse. Including reconciling cash over/short accounts.
- Preparing and ordering cash pick up/drop offs.
- Complete cheque deposits and apply electronic deposits to customer accounts.
- Complete credit reference checks and set-up new customers, as needed.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and other duties as they arise.
Education & Qualifications:
- College/University education with a focus on Business/Finance
- 1-2 years of Accounting & Finance or AR experience required.
- CPG experience would be an asset.
- A general understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills are a must.
- Collections experience is an asset.\
- Self-starter, strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Effective organization, planning and time management skills; must be able to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong customer focus.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel are essential.
- Familiarity with Business Central 365 with regards to processing of accounts receivable transactions an asset.
