Candidate must be in the Guelph area.
Contract Period: Dec 2, 2024 – June 2, 2025 6 months to 1 year contract (Possible perm).
Work Location: Guelph, ON (Hybrid – 2 days a week in office).

Additional note from the HM in terms of what he is looking for:
- Must have Quickbooks Desktop and Online experience
- No need to be professional accountant – but must have A/P, A/R and experience making journal entries.
- Prefer someone near Guelph - Must come into office 2 days per week
Qualifications:
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with QuickBooks Online (and Quickbooks Desktop). Knowledge of other financial/accounting software is an asset.
- Ability to self-produce full set of financial statements’ (balance sheet, income statement, cash-flow) reconciliation reports, and other accounting reports.
- Ability to maintain and establish general ledger, sub-ledgers to the general ledger including accounts receivable, capital expenditures, and accounts payable.
- Ability to provide good customer service and address complaints promptly.
- Expertise in calculating account balances and interest rates.
- Understanding of how banking and finance systems work
- Knowledge and expertise in using accounting and bank payment processing systems
- Skilled in the use of MS Office Suite and Office 365 applications with good knowledge of Excel
Education & Experience:
- Must have post-secondary education in finance, accounting or similar field
- Must have accounting general ledger experience, capital expenditure sub-ledger experience, monthly journalizing of accounting accruals, and accounts' reconciliation experience.
