Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure the accuracy of our financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in various accounting software. This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, account reconciliation, and providing insightful account analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Oversee budgeting processes and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms for efficient financial management.
- Perform detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies or trends that may impact financial health.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing financial practices.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including budgeting and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or other relevant platforms.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting financial information clearly.
