Position Details
As AME continues to grow, we are looking to expand out Finance Team. We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper for a 12-month temporary contract, with the opportunity for a permanent position. Your main responsibilities will include managing accounts receivables and payroll reviews.
This role will involve managing accounts receivables, conducting payroll reviews, and collaborating closely with the Financial Controller and Accountant. This position includes responsibilities such as recording payable and receivable transactions, building client relationships for collections, bank reconciliations, and auditing payroll. Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts.
- Recording payables and receivables transactions.
- Establish relationship with clients by submitting invoices, generating statement of accounts and following up on overdue payments.
- Perform payroll duties assigned.
- Reviewing staff expense reports.
- Ensuring all transactions comply with AME policies and procedures.
Key Skills
- Skilled in communication and reaching out to clients.
- Ability to gather knowledge of national and local payroll regulations and compliance reporting.
- Experience at accurately entering, maintaining, and processing information in payroll systems.
- Self-motivated, well-organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with clients.
- Knowledge of the construction / consulting industry is an asset.
Qualifications and Experience
- A background in bookkeeping, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Experience with accounting systems would be an asset.

Compensation and Terms
- $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
