Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage our day-to-day financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing analysis that supports sound financial decisions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Accounting: Maintain accurate and complete financial records, including preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and managing the general ledger.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee and manage both AP and AR processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development and management of budgets, and provide forecasts to help guide financial decision-making.
- Payroll Management: Administer payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payments while managing any payroll-related issues or queries.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including tax filings, and assist with internal and external audits as necessary.
- Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and reports to senior management to support strategic decisions and monitor company performance.
- Expense Monitoring: Track and manage company expenses, identifying areas for cost savings or financial efficiency improvements.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, restoration, or a similar industry.
- Certifications: CPA designation or working towards it is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP/IFRS), as well as proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Highly organized, with strong analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Technology: Proficient in MS Excel and other financial tools for analysis and reporting.

- Salary: Competitive pay between $55,000 and $75,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
