Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is a permanent full-time, out-of-scope position. This position is responsible for data entry and assisting with accounts receivable and generating accurate financial reports as directed. This role requires a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles and excellent administrative skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts receivable by processing vendor receivables accurately and efficiently.
- Handle positing of customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions
- Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions
- Create invoices, manage, and maintain customer files
- Aid in budget preparations by compiling and organizing financial data for analysis and forecasting purposes.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate tracking of company finances and identify discrepancies
- Prepare financial reports and summaries as directed by senior staff.
- Correspond with vendors or clients regarding payment-related inquiries or discrepancies, fostering positive relationships.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
- Collaborate with other team members to support financial operations and ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
- A certificate or diploma in Accounting or a related field.
Working Conditions:
- Repetitive work in an office setting with regular interruption.
- Some travel may be required, generally within city limits.
- May be required to work outside regular work hours.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.90-$29.51 per hour
Hours: 40 per week. 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
