Taplow Ventures Ltd. DBA FirstMate Pet Food is a manufacturer of premium pet food and fish feed. Head office is in North Vancouver and the production facilities are located in Chilliwack and Surrey.
FirstMate is looking for a full time (One year contract) account receivable to join our accounting team. Flexible work from home arrangement is an option after initial onsite training in North Vancouver office.
This is a fast-paced position which requires a team player who shows initiative and takes ownership of his/her areas of responsibility. The ideal candidate will have multi-tasking skills and attention to details. Preferred candidates will have a minimum of two years experience in account receivable. Intermediate computer skills, working knowledge of NAV and excellent communication skills are essential.
Key responsibilities are:
· Set up and update the customer master file with contact information
· Issue invoices to customers
· Process customer credit memos
· Enter cash receipts and complete bank deposits
· Communicate with customers to reconcile customer accounts
· Manage accounts receivable balance and collect past due invoices
· Generate weekly AR collection report and monthly AR related reports
· Maintain and update procedural manuals as needed
· Monthly bank reconciliation
· Generate various sales report
· Assist with month-end and year-end closings
· Assist in financial management and analysis as requested
Requirements:
· Diploma in Accounting
· 2 to 3 years of progressive billing and collection experience
· Experience of full cycle accounting is an asset
· Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office & Accounting software
· Experience with NAV a plus
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and work under pressure
· Detail oriented and organized team player

Pay: $42,000.00-$47,000.00 per year
