Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk

Kane Shannon Weiler LLP is currently accepting applications for an Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk to work in our Accounting Department. This is a full time position working between the hours of 9 to 5 in our main Surrey office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the firm's accounts receivables, including monitoring outstanding balances and overdue accounts
- Contact clients regarding overdue accounts to facilitate timely payments while maintaining professionalism and client relationships
- Reporting to management and lawyers on accounts receivable balances
- Preparing and sending statements to clients
- Determining client credit status, performing credit checks
- Monitoring client accounts for non-payments and escalating in a timely manner, coordinating collection of client accounts
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of collection activities and follow-up actions
- Monitoring WIP balances and following up with lawyers on billing status
- Verify discrepancies and resolve clients’ billing issues
- Assist with monthly reconciliations and ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures
- Assisting with posting of accounts and disbursements
- Other duties as assigned
Above and beyond the competition
- At least two years of accounts receivable or relatable experience
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Word/Excel.
- Intermediate data entry skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, and independent thinking
- Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy
- Well organized with strong attention to detail
