What you will do:
- Process payroll for all salaried and hourly employees, as well as commission and bonus payments.
- Act as a backup for other Payroll/HR Clerks when they are sick and/or on vacation.
- Ensure payroll is properly authorized.
- Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance, and other deductions.
- Extract timesheets and review work hours for completeness and accuracy.
- Ensure that hours are categorized and allocated to correct cost centers.
- For electronic time clocks, contact supervisors for any missed times.
- Process data to the Payroll Provider.
- Ensure all wage changes are made accurately and in time for effected pay periods.
- Follow payroll procedures for terminated employees.
- Administer benefit plan.
- Stay current with payroll regulations, standards and work methods.
For this role, come equipped with:
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- Able to maintain confidential information.
- Work experience in accounting, payroll and human resources preferred.
- The ability to work in a team setting.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Project management experience would be considered an asset.
