The Captial Driving Force, one of Ottawa’s premier dealership groups is currently seeking a Full-time Controller for one of its dealerships.
The Captial Driving Force is currently seeking a Full-time Controller. A vital position to our organization, the successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years accounting experience. A completed accounting designation (CPA/CA).
Reporting directly to the General Manager and CFO, the primary responsibilities of this person will involve the full accounting cycle process, including (but not limited to) month end closing, deal posting, bank reconciliations, floor plan reconciliations, statistical data entry, budgeting etc. Other duties include cash control, government remittances, payroll preparation, expense reviews, and review engagement preparation.
The Controller must ensure the integrity, accuracy, timely completeness, and communication of internal financial statements while also maintaining compliance with company policies and government requirements.
We are looking for an individual with strong leadership qualities, the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the dealership, proficiency in PBS Systems, excellent written and oral skills, excellent computer/spreadsheet knowledge.
Salary range will be based on skills and experience.
Requirements:
- post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a Business, Accounting or other related area. Or equivalent experience.
- An Accounting designation or working towards one
- 5 years of accounting experience
- prior automotive experience would be an asset
- previous assistant controller experience would be an asset
- experience using PBS would be an asset
