Our multinational client is looking to add a Payroll Manager to their growing team. This is a full-time/permanent role.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing reports by compiling summaries of company earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability payments, and non-taxable wages
- Preparing year-end employee tax slips or forms and submitting government filings to meet deadlines
- Processing multinational payroll
- Identifying any areas of improvement within the payroll process and leading the implementation of new payroll processes and systems
- Maintaining confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards
- Leading the payroll team of administrators, which may include delegating, reviewing work, training, and coaching
- Working with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the benefits and payroll services are delivered at best practice standards
- Monitoring and analyzing expenses against the benefits budget to help prepare cost forecasts and budgets
- Review and approve payrolls after ensuring that regular checks and balances and standards have been met and manage pre- and post-payroll processing activities
- Collaborate with Finance, Governance and People & Culture to develop secure data and system interfaces
- Seek to continuously maximize efficiencies and effectiveness of the payroll process
- Provide back-up and/or assistance to payroll processing and the Payroll Specialists as required
- Provide expertise and support to future payroll implementation projects
Qualifications:
- Post secondary education in a related area with completion of the Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) and/or the PLP (Payroll Leadership Professional) certification is required
- 5+ years pf experience in a similar role specifically in a supervisory role
- Experience in payroll implementations and system integrations is a strong asset
- Proficiency in different payroll systems
- Experience in a high volume and complex payroll environment
- Experience in a multinational environment
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Great attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
