Position: Accounting Associate
Start date: As soon as possible
Wage: $52,200-58,400 annual, negotiable and dependent on experience.

Role: The accounting associate is an essential part of the accounting team, reporting to the finance manager, and CFO. The role will assist with job and contract accounting while collaborating with the accounting team. This role will participate in the life cycle of cost accounting. Strong candidates will demonstrate the ability to manage ongoing responsibilities with multiple projects at a given time. Software training will be provided.

· Previous bookkeeping experience.

Duties include but are not limited to:
· Maintaining client and project contracts.
· Working within billing systems.
· Collecting, and posting receipts and payments.
· Assisting with client invoices, statements, and payment processes.
· Reviewing material requisition and job costs.
· Reconciliation and review as required.
· Working within the finance team in a collaborative approach.
· Attend training sessions to learn industry trends, opportunities, and financial software.

Preference Given to Applicants With:
· Experience in accounting within the construction industry.
· A college diploma or university degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
· Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced project-based work environment.

· 3-month probation period.

· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
· This is not a remote position; candidates will be required to report daily to the office in Cumberland.
