Are you an experienced bookkeeper with strong customer service skills? My Smart HR's confidential client in the Greater Victoria area is hiring a full time permanent Scheduling Coordinator and Bookkeeper to ensure the efficient scheduling, operations and bookkeeping of its recreation facilities.

What You’ll Be Doing
Job duties include, but aren’t limited to:
- Developing, coordinating and overseeing bookings and contracts for various facilities, including creating and managing the associated scheduling calendars to avoid conflicts
- Maintaining strong working relationships with, and providing customer service to, clients, community groups, and other stakeholders
- Bookkeeping tasks including Invoicing, account reconciliations, and preparing bank deposits
- Assisting with keeping agreements up-to-date with a focus on facility requirements and risk management
- Performing a variety of administrative tasks including record keeping and reporting
- Working with event planning staff and clients groups as needed to support facility events
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and accounting programs (Simply Accounting preferred)
- Experience in recreation, leisure program administration, management, and delivery, including the administration of organizational policies would be considered an asset
Additional Information
Status: Full-time permanent
Compensation: Starting wage is $27 to $29 per hour depending on experience and 2 weeks of annual vacation to start
Hours: 40 hours per week

Working Conditions: Work is primarily performed in a busy and noisy office environment with some work at other recreation facilities and outdoors as the position requires. Frequent interruptions and competing priorities. Hours of work are during regular business hours or as otherwise agreed to in writing
