Role: The Finance Manager is an essential part of the accounting team, reporting to the CFO. The role will over see the systems and processes within the Finance department. This role will participate in the life cycle of cost accounting within the construction industry. Strong candidates will demonstrate the ability to manage ongoing responsibilities with multiple projects at a given time.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee company payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable providing support, to the accounting team.
· Manage, organize and control daily process.
· Analyze expenditures ensuring proper allocation and reporting.
· Report any issues that may affect performance, company profitability or financial discrepancies.
· Evaluate internal reporting within the department by maintaining monthly reconciliation requirements.
· Participate in ERP implementation and training
· Collaborate within a hybrid department of contractors and employees both remote and in house.
Position:
· The initial position available is a maternity leave coverage. We are looking to fill this role 3 months prior to the leave for appropriate training. Opportunity may present a permanent position as the company and industry continue to grow.

Preference Given to Applicants With:
· Experience in accounting within the construction industry.
· Experience in commercial and residential contracts
· A college diploma or university degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
· Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced project-based work environment.
· Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written.
Other:
· 3-month probation period.
· Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
· Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
· This is not a remote position; candidates will be required to report daily to the office in Cumberland.
