Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an Accounting Technician (Matching) on a temporary basis on our Corporate Accounting team (term up to 12 months).

This position is a hybrid opportunity based in Saskatoon, SK. Members of this team are currently coming into the office once day a week
What you’ll do:
- Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and receipts to ensure correct amounts are received and invoiced. You will prepare supplier claims and execute processes related to damages and shortages.
- Match supplier and interbranch invoices with receiving from warehouses, purchase orders, and other supplementary documents. This will include using appropriate general ledger coding to clear any discrepancies.
- Work closely with FCL commodities and distribution centres to ensure timely and accurate matching of purchase orders, receipt of goods, and invoices. Contact vendors and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist the Accounts Payable team with resolving and clearing system mismatches.
- Prepare journal entries and payable adjustments, create manual claims, and investigate claim disputes.
- Other duties as required.

You will work closely with 4 other Accounting Technicians and will be part of a larger team of professionals reporting to the Accounting Supervisor. This team strives to cultivate a culture of teamwork and conversation, helping to share the workload to meet stakeholder needs.

- Have a high school diploma, two post-secondary courses in financial accounting from an accredited post-secondary institution, and a minimum of one year of relevant accounting experience.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience related to the applicable functional area.
