POSITION MANDATE
Provides backup support and administration for Payroll & Accounting functions, including data entry and other Payroll & Accounting services as required.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Payroll
· Assists in preparing and processes payroll in accordance with applicable legislation including collecting and reviewing timesheets, entering information into payroll system, reviewing accuracy, and ensuring compliance.
· Post employee time on a weekly basis.
· Verifies all payroll transactions to ensure accuracy.
· Completes required payroll related documents and reporting. Includes WBC, Source deductions, and any reconciliations that are required.
· Liaison between HR & Payroll to ensure all data is captured and entered in a timely manner.
· Prepare and balance period-end reports, which includes vacation and sick time.
· Maintains, and audits employee information (salary, address, time, etc.)
· Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation.
· Prepare, verify, and process all employee payroll related payments, including regular pay, benefit payments, and special payments such as bonuses and vacation pay.
· Assists in year- end processes.
· Enter employee into SAP and Eralis.
· Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies.
Accounting
· File and match POs, receipts, AP invoices and cheques.
· Enter information (POs, expenses, time) accurately and on time.
· Enter all credit card expenses.
· Entering customers, vendors and leads into SAP.
· Backup for receptionist.
· Positive and professional relationships and communications with internal and external contacts essential to performing the position’s duties are established and maintained.
· General accounting functions for the company and related companies; including the preparation and entry of journal entries.
· Maintains confidentiality (within and outside of TPS) of all company information learned while carrying out the duties of the position.
· Complies with, upholds and participates in the company safety culture and policies.
· Complies with, upholds and participates in the Quality program and the ISO objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The position requires a post-secondary diploma in a relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
· Payroll (Ceridian Dayforce) and SAP or similar software is an asset.
· Knowledge of Labour Standards is an asset.
· Data Entry within Dayforce, SAP.
· Employee Relations.
· Bookkeeping/ Accounting diploma.
· Understanding of general accounting principles.

· Queries and requests are properly dealt with or referred, as required.
· Employee requests are dealt with promptly and professionally.

· Issues of concern or importance are communicated to the Supervisor or Manager in a timely manner.
· Compliance with relevant policies, procedures, standards and practices, legislation and codes meet expectations.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $58,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
