Our client, a commercial HVAC contractor located in the east end, is currently looking for a temporary Accounting Assistant for a 3-month contract to assist with day-to-day accounting responsibilities. The main areas of focus will be entering and processing payroll as well as billing and accounts payable.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Enter and process payroll
- Assist with billings
- Enter invoices – AP
- General accounting support where needed
- Assist with various projects
- Other administrative duties as required
Credentials:
- 1-3 years' of experience working in Accounting
- Experience working with QuickBooks Online is a must
- Completion of an Accounting Diploma considered an asset
- Excellent written and oral communication in English
- Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Excel (sort, filters, basic formulas, etc.)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Keen attention to detail
The wage for this position ranges from $30.00 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience.
Hours: Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:00pm – Flexibility for part-time hours available.
Length of contract: 3 months with the possibility of extension
