Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized student Bookkeeper to join our team during their internship. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring timely bank reconciliations. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles to support our financial operations effectively.
At Desjardins Psychotherapy Clinic, we have a team of highly trained mental health clinicians dedicated to providing individual, couples, and family therapy to clients ages 10+ years old. Our professionals are committed to helping clients achieve emotional and psychological well-being. We have offered mental health services in both official languages - French and English - to our community since 2017. Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions and maintaining accurate ledgers.
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Conduct account reconciliations to verify the integrity of financial data.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks and Jane efficient record-keeping.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements as needed.
- Maintain organized financial records for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
Skills
- Proficiency in bookkeeping practices with experience in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes and account reconciliation techniques.
- Familiarity with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Jane.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members as needed.
