Director of Finance - Gatineau (Hybrid Position)
Compensation: $150k + Benefits Package, 4 Weeks Vacation + Christmas Shut Down + Long Term Team Growth + Strategic Position on Team

Role Overview:
As the Director of Finance, you will lead all the financial operations and provide high-level strategic insight to continue the growth and development of the accounting and finance team, as well as the company as a whole.
This role requires a hands-on approach to the day-to-day accounting operations, while balancing strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing financial strategies to support business growth
- Analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
- Preparing and monitoring budgets; analyzing variances
- Improving working capital management
- Conducting financial analysis and providing insights for management
- Overseeing payroll, group benefits, and tax reporting (e.g., T4s)
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Identifying and managing financial risks, including creating risk mitigation strategies
- Overseeing all accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Monitoring and managing cash flow, including forecasting and liquidity management
- Managing month-end processes and preparing monthly financial statements
- Overseeing year-end processes, including inventory counts and preparing files for external auditors
- Continuously improving accounting systems, controls, and reporting processes to safeguard assets and ensuring the integrity of financial records
- Providing training to enhance the skills and knowledge of the accounting team
- Acting as the primary liaison with auditors, banks, and financial institutions
- Supporting strategic planning and decision-making to achieve long-term company goals
- Assisting with pricing analyzes and contributing to pricing strategies
- Implementing cost-saving initiatives and monitoring cost structures to improve efficiency
- Staying informed on financial technology trends and integrating relevant tools to optimize processes
Qualifications:
Required: Bilingual French + English language skill set (ability to work in both languages)
Required: CPA Designation
7 years experience accounting & finance leadership position
Management experience
Detail-oriented, clear communicator, professional demeanor
