The Opportunity
Portland Tractor is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Langley, BC. As the AR Specialist, you will be responsible for processing customer credit applications, customer payments, and reconciling accounts and collections.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the AR Specialist your key responsibilities will include:
- Process customer credit applications and maintain customer files
- Process customer payments and deposits within the ERP system
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger as part of month-end process
- Regular follow up on customer payments and past due accounts
- Prepare collection notices and work with collection agencies as required
- Set and exceed collection KPIs, targets, and goals
- Work with the Controller and other stakeholders to develop and improve the credit management policy, processes, and procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- Degree or diploma in finance, accounting, or general business management
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

The base pay range for this role is: $50,000 to $62,000 per year depending on experience.
This is an onsite role based in Langley, BC.
