The accounts payable function within the accounting department handles all the company’s expenditures from vendor payments to employee expense reimbursements.

Here are the specific responsibilities that await you:
- Perform monthly profitability analysis on the plants, products and customers.
- Participate in the forecasting and budgeting process.
- Perform weekly review of inventory expiry/hold/risk report; follow up with Sales and Production
- Responsible for conducting monthly inventory risk review meeting with Procurement and Operations
- Responsible for ongoing pricing review and changes.
- Continuous management and tracking of pricing contracts.
- Prepare pricing files for close to expiry contracts and determine justifications for price increases.
- New product costing. Liaise with production supervisors to understand production variables for new products.
- Set up new sku structures in Syspro.
- Calculate new product margins for review and approval.
- Manufacturing variance analysis and reporting.
- Review and follow-up on any unusual inventory variance adjustments. Ongoing investigation into inventory variances to determine root causes.
- Collaborate in the year end process
- Provide support for ad hoc projects.
The ideal skills to meet the challenge are:
- Bilingual (English and French) · Fluency in English and French is required as part of Solina, an international organization and exchanges throughout Canada including Québec.
- Post-secondary education, preferably with a concentration in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Strong organizational skills developed in all aspects of general office and administrative support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
