We are currently hiring for an Accounts Receivable Specialist. The right candidate will need to have high attention to detail, strong computer skills, be highly organized and have the ability to multi-task and problem solve at a high level. The candidate will also need to have strong experience in Credit and Collections.
There are multiple companies under the Paddock Transport International umbrella, and this role requires involvement in most of them.
Responsibilities include:
Manage Collections
- Collect overdue accounts receivable through effective communication with customers
- Document collection activity details in accounting collections module to reflect action taken, update customer account information e.g. commitments to pay, amounts, dates, etc,
- Research account disputes and billing discrepancies, enlist assistance from dispatch or sales teams
- Process new account credit applications including credit reports and obtaining trade references
Cash application to receivables
- Post customer payments by applying cheques, electronic payments and credit card transactions into accounting system daily
- Processes credit card transactions as required
- Promptly address short payments
- Post adjusting credit or debit memos
- Other duties as required
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in accounts receivable, collections,
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in the transportation industry is as asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Well organized
Preferred Skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations
- Ability to work autonomously and also as part of a team
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains
