Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be proficient in using QuickBooks Online, Plooto and other accounts payable automation software.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (A/P):
- Process vendor invoices, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely payments.
- Verify invoices for accuracy and proper authorization.
- Maintain vendor files and records.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Process and reconcile credit card statements.
- Identify and resolve credit card discrepancies.
- Plooto/Wise/Paypal Payment set up and approval workflows
Accounting and Bookkeeping duties:
- Monthly data entry and transaction review
- Review and monitor expense classifications
- General bookkeeping support
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Year-End Procedures: Assist with year-end closing procedures, including preparing financial statements and tax forms.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Administrator, Bookkeeper or similar role
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other accounting software (e.g., QBO, Plooto, Dext, Stripe)
- Working knowledge of ASPE specific accounting requirements
