H&R Block is seeking dedicated and driven individuals to the team as Level 1 Tax Professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the tax industry while delivering outstanding service to clients. As a Tax Professional, you will play a key role in ensuring tax compliance and helping clients maximize their financial outcomes.
Duties
- Provides tax information and offers appropriate tax-saving suggestions.
- Practices excellent client service techniques to maximize the number of new and returning clients, not limited to but including contacting prior clients through the company databse as directed.
- Completes the required documentation for Efile and Instant Refund service and delivers these services according to company procedures.
- Collects all payments according to current company policy and procedures.
- Answers questions or handles inquiries from clients and other Block Associates, in person or on the phone and conducts any necessary research that may be required to provide complete and accurate responses.
- Assist other Associates in the office in a team environment as required for the purpose of enhancing the client experience.
- Professional education programs to attain, maintain, and strengthen tax expertise.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Availability for Training: You must be available to attend the Level I Tax Course, which takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
- Course Requirement: To qualify as a Tax Professional, you must achieve a minimum of 80% in the Tax Course.
- Language Proficiency: Strong communication skills in English (both oral and written).
- Customer Service Skills: Proven experience in delivering excellent customer service.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and a strong ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Mathematical & Analytical Skills: Comfort with numbers and basic mathematical concepts.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $17.45 per hour
