Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented bookkeeper/studio office manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our office environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, including payroll processing, budgeting, and account analysis. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to support organizational goals.
This will be a hybrid role, with some in-studio requirements. The studio is located in HRM.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, maintaining accurate records and timely payments.
- Conduct budget analysis and prepare financial reports to assist in strategic decision-making.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for efficient financial management.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline office processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial documents and other important records.
- Assist in the development of office policies and procedures to enhance productivity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bookeeper/office manager or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll, budgeting, account analysis, bank reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with staff at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
