About The Role
As an AP Specialist you will be responsible for delivering a great client experience that results in strong and lasting client relationships. To succeed in this role you will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Performing tasks for the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions
- Processing accounts payable payments for clients
- Reconciling to monthly vendor statements
- Monitors bank account balance and initiates transfers where needed
- Reviewing transactions for completeness, accuracy and proper authorization
- Analyzing any internal inconsistencies between manual and computerized systems
- Preparing expenditure information.
- Preparing and processing payments based on clients’ individual AP schedules as well as urgent payments as needed.
- Providing coverage for colleagues as needed
- Contributing to innovation, which may include initiating process improvement, documenting new or updated procedures, developing standardized templates and collaborating with the larger team on such initiatives.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR*
- Accounting/business diploma/certificate or equivalent work experience
- Expert knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to quickly become comfortable with, various accounting and payment processing tools, such as Xero, Dext, and Plooto
- You have strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task competing priorities
- You have a passion for excellent client services
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively with others towards a common goal
