We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper and Accounting professional to join our team. The candidate should be energetic and organized, have a complete understanding of the accounting cycle, ability to maintain accounts payable/receivable, general ledgers, process payroll, remit GST/HST remittances, and able to produce company financial spreadsheets. The candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts, and providing essential support for budgeting and financial analysis. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.

Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage the full accounting cycle
· Oversee the processing and monitoring of Accounts Receivable (invoicing, deposits, statements)
· Oversee the processing and monitoring of Accounts Payable (bills, payments, expense reports)
· Maintain, monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts including cash, bank, credit card reconciliations, prepaid expenses, and accrued liabilities
· Be responsible for GST/HST remittances
· Oversee payroll processing and payroll remittances
· Prepare, reconcile and remit T4’s, Summary and ROE’s
· Generate weekly and monthly financial and management reports
· Assist in budgeting and financial planning
· Assist with audits
Requirements:
· Degree or diploma in accounting or a relevant subject
· A minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
· Proven strong knowledge and proficiency of QuickBooks and QuickBooks online is a MUST
· CPA in good standing or enrolled in CPA program is an asset
· Accounting and bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, financial reports and government filings -HST, payroll source deduction remittances
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Suite
· Proven proficiency with financial controls and systems, and strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
