Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of financial principles to support our accounting operations effectively.
Duties
- Prepare Client invoices, record transactions, and manage Client accounts.
- Issuing and verifying bi-weekly staff payments, ensuring that appropriate deductions are made, and updating payroll data.
- Ensure transactions are properly supported and approved.
- Checking for accuracy in reports, figures, and postings.
- Manage errors and correct issues.
- Interacting with management, employees, customers, and vendors.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables to ensure timely payment.
- Back up reception coverage and assist with general office duties and responding to client inquiries.
- Support to the team in additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an accounting clerk or similar role, preferably in a consulting related industry.
- Experience with Project costing-based accounting software (Deltek) would be a definite asset.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and payroll deductions.
- Experience with MS Excel and in MS Office suite of products.
- High degree of accuracy with numbers and strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in meeting deadlines and interacting with internal Project Managers and Client’s accounting staff.
- Must be flexible and be able to adjust to changing workloads and tasks.
- The motivation to learn and constantly improve systems, processes, and tools.
- A self-starter with the initiative to learn quickly and grow.

Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
