Transdev is now hiring a Payroll Clerk, for our Kelowna, BC location.
Your Role - Payroll Processing:
- Accurately process payroll for all employees using the ADP payroll system, ensuring timely and correct payments.
- Calculate driver and staff payroll and input information into the system for processing.
- Employee Records & Benefits:
- Complete and manage new employee profiles, records, payroll entries, and benefits enrollments.
- Maintain accurate driver seniority lists and employee attendance records for permanent part-time staff.
- Inquiries & Compliance:
- Working very closely with Union Representatives to Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues or discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and company policies.
- Data Management & Analysis:
- Use Excel and statistical tools to analyze and present payroll data.
- Monitor and track employee attendance, absenteeism, and leave requests.
- Support for Management:
- Assist the General Manager in accurately tracking and reducing unnecessary overtime or additional hours.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform other clerical and accounting functions as required.

Your Profile
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in payroll administration, preferably in a transportation or similar industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel. Knowledge of payroll systems such as A.D.P., and other relevant software.
- You have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- You are able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience working in a unionized environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to handle conflict at al levels.
Location:
- This is an on-site position in Kelowna, BC.
- Salaried employee, averaging 40 hours per week (08:00 - 16:00), Monday – Friday.
- Employee will be working biweekly Sundays, due to payroll expectations.
